So when I think about essential beach reads, my mind instantly goes books full of light-hearted fun. Yeah, there are bushels and BUSHELS of books I want to read this summer, but the ones that fit my beachy feels have something different.
Sometimes I look at a cover and think, that looks like summer, and that’s how it makes it into my beachy pile. But mostly I want reads that will make me feel good and make me laugh and are cute and just leave me feeling buoyant, you know? So how about we take a look at the books that I’ll be carting in my beach bag this summer;)
What books will you be bringing to the beach this summer?;)
I either want to read these books or have read them! 😀 We have such similar taste. I hope you enjoy them!
These all do look incredibly summery! I would read every one of them.. but the ones I want to read sooner is We Are Liars, Rebel Belle, and Since You’ve Been Gone. There’s so much hype with them, I just want to see what they are all about.
Those ones really have been blowing up the book sphere! It just makes me that much more excited to read them!
Ahh! How have I not heard of any of these books? So many books…
Here is my list if you want to check it out: http://booksaz.wordpress.com/2014/06/03/ten-books-that-will-be-in-my-beach-bag-this-summer/
I feel like this ALL THE TIME! I’ll think I’m pretty up to date on books and then I look around and realize that it’s probably an impossible task to be aware of them all;)
We Were Liars and The One are pretty amazing reads 🙂 I am also looking forward to On The Fence
I seriously can’t wait to read them! I’ll probably pick up The One soon since it’s the conclusion to the series I’m already hooked on;)
I read it in one sitting because I had to know what happened!! 🙂
I made my list the same way–summery feeling books seem right to read on a beach. Sure, you could read a thriller, or nonfiction… but the sun and sand and waves just cry out for something sweet, light, and fun, like a fruity drink with an umbrella stuck in it.
EXACTLY! There’s just a certain feel that comes with beach reads:)
The Book of Broken Hearts made my list (: and I should have included Better Off Friends, b/c that’s waiting for me on my shelves! I’ve seen On the Fence and We Were Liars a few times today. I’ll have to check them out.
I agree though, I think of beach reads as light and fun, and the cover definitely adds to that (:

My Top Ten
Oh my goodness, We Were Liars has BLOWN UP the blogging sphere! I feel a little left out, if I’m being honest;) And thanks for the follow!!!
I have just made my very first list! Maybe you could have a look? http://pageturner20.wordpress.com/2014/06/03/top-ten-tuesday/
Isn’t it kind of terrifying?! The first time I participated in a meme I was so self conscious because I never thought I would do anything other than reviews, but they’re SO much fun!:D
I was a tad terrified, especially because it was also my very first post! But I had a great tine doing it and there were just so many books to choose from!!
I always end up listing about twenty books and have to whittle them down to ten–it IS so hard to choose!
I know!! I had a peek at what next weeks theme will be and I have a strange feeling it is going to be over ten!!
Since You’ve Been Gone & We Were Liars are both books that I’ve heard such great things about! I’m hoping to buy copies soon so I can finally read them. I haven’t read the One yet, or even the Elite! The Selection was my favorite read of 2012 though. Great picks!

I know, I still need to actually buy these books . . . But I’m determined to read them this summer and I bloodydamn will!;)
